Development League for U3-U6Jan 1, 2017
U4 and U6 Paris Development League
The Paris Soccer Club will continue the U3/U4 and U5/U6 Paris Development Program. The Paris Soccer Club (PSC) Development Program focuses on skills based academy style sessions to give our children the best training, skills development and experience, they can have. (Parents present during training but not necessarily on the field - dependent on skill level in U3/U4).
This season we will be focusing our mindset into developing our younger players by mirroring the concepts of Soccer Canada’s Pathway, which provides a road map for players of all ages and aspirations who want to play soccer at the recreation, competitive or high performance EXCEL levels, with the aim of encouraging lifelong participation. The Pathway is built around the principles of Long-Term Player Development (LTPD).
As we commence the season there will be a continued emphasis on skills development and touches on the ball. We will require parents, ‘helpers’ and coaches to be part of each team to assist with running stations on the field and the players will be rotating from station to station to keep them enthused and engaged. If you are interested in being a ‘parent helper’ please let us know.
Below are some links that may help answering any questions you may have around the development principles for LTPD and also, a couple of videos that may help you appreciate the benefits for our children.
This video demonstrates how big our fields and goals seem to kids starting out playing soccer to put it into perspective.
The season will start May 26th, 2018 and run for eight/ten weeks on Saturdays (time to be announced) and the cost will be $100/$110.
